The process

With over a decade of experience in major projects and renovations, we understand how daunting it can be for our clients. Every building project and customer is unique and we respect the need for each project to be completed as smoothly as possible with the least inconvenience and disruption.

Next, we will meet in person on site, to go into the project in more detail. If you have ideas for fixtures and fittings, bring them along. We can offer you advice on what the best options are, initial guidance on design and an idea of cost and timelines. We are there to facilitate your vision, so this is the ideal time to share your ideas.

Concept drawings and budget

3. Concepts drawings and budget

A successful project begins with a good design. Often, your ideas may alter as the design takes shape, but this is a natural part of the process which allows you time to consider how you will use your new space. Your architect may need to rework your drawings, but this will help you to find the best solution.

Preliminary budget assessment

Once you have decided on the concept and drawings have been completed, we can then offer you an accurate and detailed estimate of the cost including consultation with our electrician and plumber. We consider every aspect of the project and the tradesmen that will be required.

When the design and budget has been agreed, Old Lane Homes will provide you with a fixed price quotation. We ensure that every stage of the project is reviewed for your understanding and clarity. Once you are completely happy, you will be invited to sign your fixed price contract and a staged payment plan will be agreed.

Completion

6. Completion

Once the project has been completed to your satisfaction a Building Regulation approval inspection will be arranged and, when approval is granted, we will do a thorough inspection ourselves to make sure that everything is ready to be handed over to you with the necessary documentation.
